my g1 is on its last legs. switching apps leads to seconds long delay.

i'm thinking i may have to shell out for an N1 soon. though, if iphone OS4 has multitasking.....

Nope - after rooting your phone, any of those ROMs should do the trick on their own (well, at least the ones made for your MyTouch). Cyanogen is sort of a "best of" ROM that takes functions/themes from various Android sources and optimizes them for the MyTouch and G1.

After looking at your link again, I must say that some of those Hero ROMs do look interesting. Haq, can I really get Flash on my G1 if I install this --> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthr ... &page=1146 ? Would that be brutally slow?

Hey Mike, sorry, haven't been following this thread. I have no idea about the Flash issue. I've never tried anyone else's mods, even Cyanogen's.

so i head into a meeting at 2pm today with some colleagues. our business phones are down due to a new system being implemented, so the director says "i'll just use my iPhone on speaker."

Edit: on an Android note, I installed Google Translate on Friday. It has been working like a champ to help me translate what all my Swedish relatives are saying on Facebook.

Anyone try out the app Pocket Blu?

Turns your phone into a remote control for your blu-ray player. I just downloaded it, and with no set up or anything whatsoever, it recognized my PS3 and that I had a blu-ray disc in there. Also claims that you can watch movies on the go, but I haven't had a chance to try that yet.

This is really fuckin' badass because normally I use the PS3 controller as my remote and it's really awkward to pause/restart movies on.

Does it use bluetooth or wifi?

It might be able to use both, but I already had my wifi enabled and I think it just defaulted to that.

This wonder needs to come stateside.
