Ok, so I haven't retreated to complete board exile.

So after a week of a taking care of a son with Scarlet Fever(he's doing MUCH better and is with his father for the weekend), working 11 hrs yesterday and 10 today(including closing for my boss so she could go out with her family) I'm spending a chill evening in.

My night has included:

-taking a nice long bath
-keeping the new 5 mos old kitten off of our other cat(the kitten chases him around and pounces on him, our 2 yr old being his normally restrained self just hisses and retreats not once yet this week raising a paw to him!!)
-eating dinner

-and now having a couple of rum and cokes while watching disc 5 of season 5 of Angel aka my latest obsession(that and I have this insane hetero crush on Amy Acker aka Fred from the show)

I had to take a breather from Angel and I'm going to listen to some music. Husband is off rehearsing with band for their fri night show in Lansing and record release show next saturday( robotboy's PA Pilots are opening, if you're in Chicago this is the coolest place to be next sat)

Any one else having a nice evening?

Ok, then I'll assume you're all having really shitty evenings.

Fine.

we went for a bike ride, then to dinner [cuban food]. no drinks though, as i'm still recovering from winter music conference.

just finished watching L 'Auberge Espagnole, and now listening to some music as well [roy ayers with joão gilberto on deck].

I'm broke, my knees hurt and I have to get up for work in 4 1/2 hours.

But I'm drunk, so that's not shitty.

I will cherry pick and respond to my own post too. ;)

I got 4 cds at Tower for $33.

NP: Bruce Springsteen :: Darkness On The Edge Of Town

I got my new PT/2nd job on Friday, which means a big raise and a more flexible schedule.

Working on two newsletters and thinking about invoicing so I can get some more cash.

Thinking about buying some of these Jeep Teflon jeans so I can just dump shit on my lap and not bat an eye. Teflon fucking pants. Oh yeah.

I actually bought that movie a few weeks ago but haven't had a chance to watch it yet(see Angel obsession; I've been systematically been renting the last two seasons/monopolizing our Netflix queu for the past few weeks), so how is it?

Hey, Jen, I keep meaning to post more at GloNo but it appears there's only so much time to spend on a keyboard before it interferes with real world necessities. Maybe I can invent something to slow time or something.

May be the ultimate Saturday night post..

I ate 3 dozen oysters and now am quietly drunk, listening to Decemberists' Picaresque on a rainy florida evening- life could be a lot worse............

Oh I am here now. And not doing much. I have to work a full day tomorrow, which I think is silly as there will likely be little to no shoppers, but if they want to pay me for lying on the floor and chatting with my coworker, I'm not going to stop them.

I would be very excited about being able to afford a house to live in as oppsoed to our 1 bedroom condo. I would also love the opportunity to drop off the kid at the grandparents for once.

Thanks Jen. I would definitely miss the music scene and the whole gang. Maybe I could start a new club with Frank Grimes.

I'm gonna go get a pizza hot dog and curly fries and then watch Cellular and probably read some comics, then bed time.

This is my lame night after staying out til 3am last night and having to work today.

There's this hot dog place called Spike's in Boston that makes a bunch of different varieties of hot dogs. It's just a hot dog with sauce and melted mozzarella cheese on top. They've got a bunch of weird ones too that I'm too scared to try.
