Almost finished my first listen, and I'm giving an enthusiastic thumbs up. "One Polaroid A Day" and "Bartolomeo And The Buzzing of Bees" immediately stand out for me (especially the former, with Leo using a lower register than I've ever heard from him), but "Mourning In America" and "Bottled In Cork" jumped out too.

Overall, I'm geeking out over it.

Just finished the d/l. Will be later before I can give it a real listen, but I'm pretty enthused. Hope it's more of a return to Tyranny and Hearts of Oak territory.

Glad to hear, I gotta find time to listen to it tonight. I enjoyed his last one fine enough when it came out, but I haven't listened to it since '07.

There's definitely an element of "Hearts of Oak" to it.

Yeah, I've been hearing nothing but positive things about it. Good to hear its getting more thumbs up here.

i liked it. probably could've used like 2-3 less songs but it was better than any of his recent albums.

"Bottled In Cork" sure is catchy.

I think I might actually like the back end of this record better than the beginning.

Not that I always agree with his "reviews" but Whiney gave it a 8:

Been listening to this the last 24 hours or so... "Ativan Eyes" is the standout for me so far. Man, if there were an anti-tea party movement, Ted Leo would lead the house band. I've always found his music aggressive, thoughtful and provocative.
