wonder how much this will cost?

The time has finally come. You have asked & we have answered. “Didn’t The Stooges record more outtakes for Raw Power?” “Are the original tapes truly lost?” “This album is the blueprint for all of punk – come on, will there ever be an expanded version of Raw Power?” Well friends, we are happy to report that your 37 year wait is over.

First released on Columbia Records in 1973, the savagely bombastic
RAW POWER DELUXE EDITION by Iggy And The Stooges becomes available on APRIL 27th!

One of the most influential albums of all time, this project was overseen by Iggy himself and includes:
-The long out-of-print original David Bowie mix of the album, newly-remastered for maximum impact!
-“Georgia Peaches,” an 8-song, one-hour performance at Atlanta’s notorious rock club Richards in October 1973
-A full disc of Rarities, Outtakes, & Alternates from the Raw Power Era.
-48 page softcover book with essays by Henry Rollins, Brian J. Bowe and Kris Needs + testimonials by Tom Morello, Lou Reed, Cheetah Chrome, Jim Reid, Perry Farrell, Hugo Burnham and more.
-A TON of previously unseen Raw Power-era shots.
-5 exquisite 5x7-inch prints, suitable for framing.
-Japanese pic-sleeve 45 single repro: “Raw Power b/w “Search And Destroy”
-The “Making of Raw Power” documentary by Morgan Neville featuring NEW interviews with Iggy Pop, James Williamson, Scott Asheton, Mike Watt, Johnny Marr, and Henry Rollins; plus live performance footage of James Williamson’s first reunion gig with Iggy and the Stooges – after 35 years! – shot at Festival Planeta Terra, São Paulo, Brazil, November 2009.

I think it has been posted before, but there is supposed to be a Deluxe version of Exile coming out with massive outtakes, audial Big H shots, and possibly the croaking of a French Whore in the bathroom studio...or whatever went on at Ville Nellcote.

With the news that the Rolling Stones will be reissuing their 1972 classic, Exile on Main Street this spring, speculation has begun to mount regarding how deluxe and expanded the reissue will be. Will it contain unreleased songs? Will it contain alternate versions of previously released material? Will there be a vinyl version? Finally, which members of the Rolling Stones--past and present, will be involved in this reissue? Will it bring renewed involvement by bassist Bill Wyman, who retired from the group in 1992, or even Mick Taylor, who played on Exile and with the band from 1969-1974? Will songs featuring Gram Parsons, who was present at Nellcôte during the summer of 1971 finally surface?

All of these questions remain unanswered, yet, at least three previously unreleased songs have already been reported to be on this new reissue: Following The River, Plunder My Soul, and Sophia Loren. The question that remains is how much more will be released?

Late last year, the band released an expanded super deluxe vinyl reissue of their live album, Get Yer Ya-Yas Out, that included previously unreleased concert material, a DVD featuring concert footage from Madison Square Garden, and full-sized liner notes and photos from famed photographer Ethan Russell, who originally documented the 1969 tour from which the album was sourced.

Although the Exile reissue will be released by the Universal Music Group (UMG) rather than Abkco (which reissued the Ya-Yas release), it should be fairly safe to assume that this expanded release will follow a similar format given the legendary status that Exile has amassed over the years.

Dump have you found that version of Ya-Yas from any of your "sources"?

What else is on there? The original is pretty short, but I love the version of "Carol" on there and the slowed down style on "Stray Cat Blues"

Yes, but only if you change your avatar ;).

It would have been up earlier, as I had every intention of uploading it at work but wireless was down so it's going up now.

Beware was a let down for me from Will Oldham. I was never able to let it sink in. Hope the new one steps it up. Anyone know who the "Cairo Gang" is? I'm assuming it's his touring band from his last tour, but you never know what you're gonna get...
