Somehow I got curious about this today, thought it might be an interesting topic.

How man forums/message boards do you frequent, and which do you consider your "home/main" board?

I have 9 that I go to, 7 on a daily basis. I guess this one would be my main one as it's a pretty general Pop Culture forum, but strangley I don't post that often.

3, everyday. that's about it. i should probably have more, since 1 is down a lot.

This one and the DBT one. This one is viewed much more regularly. I sometimes stop by the Wilco board as well.

3, hipinion is the "main" one

Basically 2, with any regularity. Last fall, I left the "home" forum I was very active in for 6 years +, and with the help of another disgruntled member, started up a small, invitation only forum that has become my new home. That one and this one are the 2. I stop by 3 others infrequently, and hardly ever post on them. Wait..I hardly ever post on this one, except when a thread needs killing.

This is the only one I go to. I'm not huge on the online forum thing, but I started on CMJ years ago and have been on here for years so I stick around. I find out enough about new bands and get enough general amusement to make it worthwhile, but wouldn't want to go to a new one and figure out who everyone is.

I was on a homebrew boards pretty frequently for a while, but I haven't been able to get back on that horse

I used to have a couple of others but now I only visit this one here. enough for wasting time.

and the occasional random posts at other boards if this place is extra dead. (sound opinions, phandroid, abi, etc.)

This is my only message board and all communication with people (and the majority of my time spent online) has switched from emails to Facebook messages.

I'll sometimes visit a particular band's / artist's message board before or after seeing them live, but never stick around long and so far the only one I'm actually registered on is the Mountain Goats', which I've posted on maybe twice.

interesting that this is a reason you stay away from others as in all my forum experience Obner is the only one I've been to where people have done this, aside from the fishing forum I go to, but that's because everyone lives in the same region.

I've don't think I've ever been to a forum where people didn't seem to know each other.

This and soundopinions are the only ones now. This one much more often.

this board and a local one daily. hipinion every once in awhile. there's a few others i've been at but really infrequently.

This is the only one I follow and, for the last couple of years, it is pretty sporadic. Like Stacey, I pretty much only communicate with board folks on Facebook.

I come by here about twice a week, sometimes less, sometimes more. Nowhere else.

This is my main one.
But, I'm also on Hipinion and ViaChicago.
