Suspended by ESPN for mocking Hannah Storm's outfit.

http://msn.foxsports.com/nascar/story/e ... ?GT1=39002

Pretty weak if you at me.
It's not like he was banging her or some other female ESPN employee on the side, or drunkenly telling her how he wants to have sex with her like Erik Kuselias did quite vocally at ESPN Holiday party this year.
If he gets fired, they can always replace him with Dan Lebatard.

ESPN is better off without him. There are thousands of better candidates to fill his position.

God I hope they don't replace him with GARbatard. Tony's the only reason I even watch PTI. Wilbon shits on Atlanta fans any chance he gets.

I mean, isn't this essentially the type of stuff they PAY him to do. Agree, weak.

Also, Hannah Storm?

FUH.

Hannah Storm has always struck me as a slightly more attractive (READ: less unattractive) version of Carol Burnett. She's flatter than half the men on this board (including me, the Meat Loaf in Fight Club of Obner).

Sportscenter has running jokes all the time. I don't know why they couldn't have just run with it and had Storm take some shots at Cornheiser in return and had some fun with it.

I mean, the woman has worked in sports TV for over 20 years. You don't get to her level as a woman in that racket without a thick skin. She's been in every locker room in every sport imaginable. I'm sure she's heard it all.

seconded on all points. and really, a three day suspension? Just a mini-vacation and a chance to deal with Levi(re)tard.

He's great on PTI, and helped shape one of the best shows on the network. And with MNF quite possibly the worst announcer in the history of announcing. So yeah, don't judge him based on that horrible square peg in a round hole.

Kornheiser is a complete penis hole. However, he's great at PTI.
This is only going to improve Kornheiser's ratings.

so does this mean le batard is subbing until tony returns? i like le batard more than most others, but in small doses. i think he'll lose his appeal subbing everyday for nearly two weeks. the problem is the other guest hosts are terrible.

It is a little odd that they decided to arbitrarily give him a two week suspension for the comment. If the corporate brass were that pissed or offended by it, why not fire him the way you did every other jerk on that network for a sexual indiscretion.
It seems like they told him to take a vacation, so that it appears like they are reprimanding him for a misdeed. I'm sure she was probably seething and out for blood, so they have to make her happy as well.
I would have just brought her on PTI for the five good minutes segment and allowed them to hash it out.

Speaking of ESPN controversy, I'm guessing nothing ever came of Mike Greenberg's "Martin Luther Coon" gaffe.

I too like Lebatard, at least when he is on PTI. It's freaking hilarious how he does the "Bam" comment and his Lebatard shimmy shake to piss both Kornheiser and Wilbon off. I think the only other interesting guest host they have is Bob Ryan, but he and Kornheiser together become a little too curmudgeonly.

See I don't think that at all. As I said above she's heard FAR worse and directly to her face I'm sure.

As FemDerris said last night about this:

Quote:
I guarantee you that she is WAY more embarrassed that he got a suspension. It makes her look like she needed defending or asked them to discipline him. The ESPN brass are just uber-sensitive right now because all their men be fuckin and getting blow jobs from interns.
