This album definitely deserves it's own thread. Biggest surprise for me so far this year. The album flows so perfectly. The playing and arrangements are outstanding.

I'm not familiar with their material previous to this, so hoping some Ob's can fill me in.

I saw em open for Grizzly Bear, and was pleasantly surprised. I'm sure if I can find the right time to listen to this I could be pleasantly surprised again.

It is good. Thought the Excuses track comes across more fully fleshed on the video.

"Excuses" is definitely growing on me, but I liked other songs on the album more after my first few listens - don't know names off hand though.

I like it more than their first album (talking through tin cans).

I really enjoyed the live performance, but I listened to the album this morning and I thought it was too precious and dull.

Some of the songs were okay, though. I might give it another shot down the road.

Will give this a couple of more listens. Has reverb in all the right spots to warrant another listen.

I don't know about your side of the Atlantic but over here 'bender' is an offensive term for a homosexual.

Definitions of bender on the Web:

a tool for bending; "he used pliers as a bender"
carouse: revelry in drinking; a merry drinking party

definitely dig this album, going to see them end of next month. i'm sure they'll be a big hit at sxsw too.

you should check out the first album d. not as good as big echo, but still an enjoyable listen.

Just listened to it again today and yeah, I really do like it a lot.

There's an almost Modest Mouse-y thing going on on a few songs that I like.
