I'll be all over that Bad Moon Rising.

The CD of that one sounds like shit.

Yeah, I already have BMR on vinyl. Its just a standard pressing of it. I'm definitely picking up Sister and EVOL.

I wish they'd reissue Washing Machine on vinyl. Just because it's one of the few I never bought on CD.

Agreed. There were a number of strong singles with it as well, namely the Diamond Sea. I'd love for a boxset like Goo, Dirty and DN. I have almost all of it on cd, but I'm not above re-buying.

I should still have 3 of these in storage somewhere. I need to find me a quality turntable. EVOL ain't the same without the skip at the end of Expressway.

Isn't that funny how you can get used to imperfections as part of a record, and then when you hear the clean version it sounds off. See also: when you listen to a record so many times that you start anticipating the next notes of the next song after one has finished. When it plays on the radio or on a mixtape, etc it just sounds off.

After 24 years of playing with the experimental rock band Sonic Youth drummer Steve Shelley has formed a new band dubbed High Confessions. Featuring industrial rock god Chris Connelly (Ministry, Revolting Cocks), metal guitarist Sanford Parker (Minsk, Nachtmystium) and Jeremy Lemos (White/Light), High Confessions debut a unique multi-faceted sound that mixes metal with experimental prog rock.

Recently signed by the metal label Relapse Records, High Confessions expect to release its debut album Turning Lead Into Gold With the High Confessions sometime this summer. Relapse recently described the High Confessions’ sound as “a real heavy, psychedelic rock”. We’re secretly hoping for something that sound like what would come out if Sonic Youth and Liars had an offspring together, plus heavy meddling with industrial sound (think Nine Inch Nails) and an infatuation with heavy bass, fast-rhythms and wicked guitar playing. That’s maybe a far stretch, but it’s still do-able. Besides, how awesome would that be?

I can't name one project that Shelley has been apart of that I haven't enjoyed, so I'm completely on board for this.
