Anyone know who this is? I don't know, or more accurately I've forgotten, so it's more of an appeal than a quiz.

I found it among my collection of Orange Juice/Postcard photos so I think it's probably from the Punk Rock Hotel of Orange Juice yore, a hotel in Paisley just outside Glasgow city limits where visiting punk bands played (punk music was banned within the city itself).

My memory is rather fuzzy but for some reason I can't quite put my finger on I think the lady in question was a member of a New York punk band of the time. Probably from somewhere between 1977 - 1980.

Anyone?

It's not Poly Styrene - she was a bit on the chubby side and was of mixed race.

I don't think Joan Jett played the Silver Thread Hotel in Paisley. Plus when do you ever see Joan Jett without a guitar?

It may be Pauline Murray.

I remembered the name of the band I was thinking off - Holly and the Italians - but I'm not sure if its her either since I can't find a comparable photo.
