very true. for me, i just like a small subset of each band. for weezer, it's the blue album, and for sp, it's gish and siamese dream and a few singles. the later stuff is appallingly godawful. listening to billy's wacked out rants does't help. at all.

Oh yeah I agree with you guys and billy g 100 % only I would add The Green Album, Maladroit, and most of Make Believe, The Red Album, and Raditude as well as Adore, MACHINA, and some of Zeitgeist.

Since this has turned into a referendum on the early careers of both of these bands, I'll say this. My like for the Blue Album is purely nostalgic at this point with one exception - In the Garage. That's a good track regardless. I never cared for Smashing Pumpkins really.

Heard something from SP on the radio yesterday and didn't hate it, but didn't like it much, either.
I wished I liked it more because he's a hometown boy and I liked Gish.
