did you guys tag your music with "the", "a" for bands like "the big pink" and "a northern chorus"?

if so, did you do big pink, the or just the big pink and have tons of bands alphabetically under the?

i'm noticing that last.fm is having a lot of trouble with my tags b/c i don't use the or a in my band names.

does last fm recognize the correct tag for "big pink, the"?

Last fm does the auto correcting.

I tag my stuff without the "the" so I can keep it in alphabetical order. I break that mold by not putting artists last name first. IE Tom Petty goes under T not P for Petty, Tom.

itunes ignores the "the" and you can keep it Tom Petty visually and instruct it to alphabetize it by Petty.

i have had last.fm goof when i don't have the "the". it's kind of spotty on when it can autocorrect.

anyone know if there is a way to export last.fm scrobbles to an open database? i'm getting concerned about the future of last.fm.

What would you do with it once you export it? Update it manually? Yikes!
