No fucking wonder all you can post about is football. Drinking that shit is akin to repeatedly beating your head against Lyle Alzado's ass.

To be fair, I've only had a couple bottles of IC in my day, so that doesn't properly explain my fascination with sports related posting.

Picked up one of these in VT this weekend, cannot wait to try it.

Allagash - Curieux

Quote:
In October of 2004, we released the first beer in our series of Barrel Aged beers, Allagash Curieux. To make the Curieux (French for "curious"), we age our Tripel Ale in Jim Beam barrels for 8 weeks in our cellar. During the aging process in bourbon barrels, the beer is totally transformed, and many new flavors and aromas develop. Most notably, the beer picks up soft coconut and vanilla characteristics...and also a hint of bourbon flavor!

Shit wasn't cheap, but I couldn't say no.

I'll just head down to the local Dollar Tree and buy a bunch of mouth wash if I ever get that desperate.
I could also seek out the various Husker fans that make their own Corn Whiskey.

Scope is a step above paint thinner, which is 2 steps above Iron City.

Was at the watering hole for dinner tonight, and had one of these:

Much hoppier than any pilsner I've had before, but not so much that it bites in the back of the throat. Enjoyable bitterness, but about as far in that direction as I want to go.

Then went with a couple these:

For a domestic brewed beer, this trippel comes close to a very fine Belgian beer. Damn close. Thoroughly enjoyable, some herbal notes and maybe plum in the finish. BTW, both of these were on tap, not bottled.

Cap'n you gotta try the golden monkey..It's a dam fine Triple. I actually had a 6er of that and Prima pils last week. Victory is about an hour away from my house and I try to get out there every so often for dinner and a growler of something fresh. I may get a sixer of their Storm King Stout tonight, haven't had it yet, but heard good things.

Did my run tonight, grabbed a 6er of Prima Pils, Golden Monkey, a 4 Pack of Founders Double Trouble and I'm now sipping from a growler of Troeggs Nugget Nectar. Been trying to get the nugget nectar for the last month as it's only seasonal and heads go crazy for it..I like it, it's pretty good. I'm also very antsy to try the double trouble, but that will be for tomorrow or Saturday night..And like Tentoze said, 4 Golden Monkeys had me pasted out last friday @ 11:00. They sneak up and then BAM, your ass is asleep.
