I find her character interesting as long as I don't have to listen to her.

At least she seems to be in control of her own persona, which is more than can be said about most pop stars.

The music isn't great, but I don't expect it to be.

I'd rather have her as a role model to young girls than most trash out there.

There's not much interesting about Lady Gaga. It's so contrived and calculated. It's Britney Spears with better costumes and worse songs. Or, in other words, modern Cher.

Of course it's contrived and calculated. It's modern mainstream pop. And the thing that sets Gaga apart from the likes of Britney, Madonna, etal is the sense of humor and intelligence behind her pose. She knows all the window dressing is inherently ridiculous, and then even makes it more ridiculous. Also, that song "Bad Romance" is perfect modern pop - not something I'm going to buy or seek out, but I at least understand what its intended audience hears in it.

And South Pacific, why does anyone even care if she had a dick? She obviously doesn't (and that photographic "evidence" suggests more about your own micro-dickage than hers), but what if she did? Does that change anything? I mean, I may think she looks like Sasha Baron Cohen but I don't measure the worth of an artist by my desire to fuck them. That's a weird point of view to hold - and what does it say about all those sad bastard bearded indie knobs and sloped-forehead metal shitheels you listen to?

I think she may occasionally stuff a bulge in to give the appearance of and fuel this "controversy" because this isn't the first time it's come up.

As for her personage/character or whatever: I'm not even remotely interested even though I usually am interested in these pop culture fascinations. No idea why.

radcliffe doesn't like bearded hipsters because it interferes with his fantasies of mentally dressing them up in women's clothes

does your wife know?

The only difference between Lady Gaga and any other pop starlet is she has been marketed in a slightly different way to stand out in what had become a very over crowded market of trashy strumpet.

A little high fashion and a pseudo artistic façade has been tacked on but essentially its a scantily clad woman dancing around in her panties to bad/generic dance music. It's a bit like that episode of the Simpsons when the 'new' Malibu Stacey comes out and all it is is the old Malibu Stacey with a different hat.

Musically Gaga is not doing anything remotely interesting - in terms of quality of production and music the likes of Beyonce and Madonna (even at 50 or whatever she is) are much more cutting edge.

"trashy strumpet" lol

But that's more or less how I feel. It doesn't really matter how much she knows what she's doing or has a sense of humor about it if it just isn't any good. I don't know if I'd say that Beyonce or Madonna are more "cutting edge" or if they're any better at all, though.

Lady Gaga songs are really annoying - "Bad Romance", especially - and nothing about her persona can really do anything to make up for that.
