I only joined twitter to be eligible for a certain contest (didn't win), but despite not using the account i haven't had the energy to delete it. I did end up following a few people--most notably Pee Wee Herman. Because, you know, the man is awesome.

What's up with these people that put weird phrases at the ends of their tweets, such as #ifgarfunkeltweeted and #getwellsoonminho?

Is this people trying to "trend" a topic? It seems pretty lame, but I guess it could drum up traffic to your page.

I usually scan through and look for people I know in real life, or blogs bands I follow. The rest I kinda skim. Stuff like all the Orioles and Ravens feeds I follow are generally the same articles/links over and over all day, so those are easy. Plus, its not like all those people I'm following are posting every 5 mins. It works somehow. I actually dig it more than FB. Right now things are crazy because of SXSW and NFL draft coming up.
