I can't wait. How well do you think your teams will do? My Phillies should be okay if everyone stays healthy and plays as expected.

My wife is as prepared as prepared can be. She's the sort who posts on the Remy Report message board all winter.

My Braves will beat the Astros in the divisional playoffs in 5 epic games only to lose to the Cardinals in 6 in the NLCS. Cardinals will beat the Marlins to get there. AL is between NY and Boston again.

John Smoltz will win at least 17 games and Chipper will put up MVP numbers if Andruw Jones continues to hit like he has this spring.

Bring out the Braves haters. Until the Mets or Marlins finally de-throne us in the East there is no reason to think we won't win the Division again.

I'm a Blue Jay fan and don't have high hopes for them at all this year. I think they'll be one of the three worst teams in the AL this year. In no particular order the worst teams will be KC, Tampa Bay, Toronto.

I'm going to the Braves home opener as part of my birthday present. They are taking on the Mets who are my team.

I no longer even try to predict what the hell the Mets are going to do.

As a lifelong Cubs fan, I can only be pessimistically optimistic.
Don't try to understand, it's a Cubs thing.

I should've added a disclaimer to this thread that Atlanta fans should NOT feel free to post on behalf of their team.

I am far from a Braves fan in any sense...but they have earned their right to talk...what is it, 13 division titles in a row now? or 12 out of 13?

too bad, the playoffs and worldd series results are a different story.

Aaahhh, Braves baseball, how I miss thee. Saw the Brewers once 2 years ago... nice stadium, at least.

Have you seen the MONSTER that is John Smoltz this Spring, Ben? Bloor and I were talking. This is the Last Ride, in which, Smoltz, taking his cues from fellow God-squad, Bush Monger/Best pitcher in the game Curt Schilling puts the team on his back and takes 'em all the way. Seriously.

The addition of Hudson portends well, and hopefully Hampton'll put up some decent numbers. You are right on Chipper and 'Druw...if only they'd've signed The Russian Cuban a few years ago instead of JD DRew.

Anyway, yeah I am actually semi-interested in baseballe this year for the first time in a while. And THE PHILLIES SUCK!

the whole cubs team is probably out 3-4 months, but the management wouldn't let on that anything was wrong.

last year's the first year i didn't go to a rockies game since the year i moved to denver in 97. between the strike from years ago, the competitive imbalance (my brewers will need to buttfark the devil for a solid decade before they'll ever make the playoffs again) and the whole steroids crap, i've just lost interest. this'll be my first season not in a fantasy baseball league since i started playing. :\

Tribe fan. Shapiro's long-term plan was to starting contending this year. In the AL Central, that shouldn't be much more than .500

i have very little faith in the Phillies this year.
i'll still watch, and i'm sure they will be good enough to give me faith and make me go to a few games and then break my heart.

Ahhh, Christopher, it will be a pleasure to watch my Bravos beat your Phillies like a gong one more time.
:D

Enjoy that pitching staff, jocko.

The Dodgers will once again do better than everyone expects, yet the season will still be viewed as dissapointing, and DePodesta will blow up the nucleus once again in order to afford the contracts he gave lowe/drew/perez this winter...

Then again, he hopes to assemble even more C that can't hit .220 in the majors, in hopes of proving the trade of LoDuca wasn't a mistake that needs to be mistakenly rectified every 2 months or so...

for all the great braves teams, and all their division titles . . . they've won the same number of WS in the last 50 years as the Phillies.

the same number of titles as the worst franchise in all of sports.
congratulations.

I just hope you feel better now Jewlsey.

BTW, I don't think I would call the Phillies anywhere near the worst franchise in sports. Choakers? Sure. Underachievers? Absolutely. But in a town that also houses the Flyers and Eagles (who traffic in the same things), they are far from the worst franchise in sports or even baseball.

Also, check yourself Jewelz. Fifty years includes The Braves 1957 Milwaukee team, making us one better than you ;)

actually, i think they are the worst franchise in the history of baseball. They have the most losses in the history of American sports and 1 WS in 200 some years.

but you can use my argument right back at me with the falcons vs the eagles. The iggs are dominant but have the same number of superbowl appearances and titles as the falcons.
