Thought I'd share

Whirl (Son's band) just finished recording 8 song EP of Sonic Youth/Dinosaur Jr/Jesus Lizard/Black Flag inspired goodness www.myspace.com/whirl4lyfe

So Very Small (Brother's Current Band) just finished 1st full length www.myspace.com/soverysmall

The Marshes (Brothers slightly more well known ex-band playing reunion shows 1 in NYC tba and 1 in Easthampton Ma. at Flywheel) www.myspace.com/themarshesworld

Man, those Whirl tunes are damn good. Reckless, reminds me of Nirvana as well.

Whirl is pretty awesome. There is some good raw talent in there.

I am really psyched for Whirl, they are creating quite a buzz around the local scene here and getting alot of shows.

Any Western Massers around here they are playing at The Basement in Northampton next Saturday Night 3/27.

I think we would be the first father/son Obner tandem.

And yes the Marshes are better than So Very Small...I love the music on SVS alot more than the vocals/lyrics.

you need to be sending this Whirl demo out to blogs/sites/pitchfork/labels. i'm pretty sure they'd eat it up. it's good stuff.

my favorites from it: Neck, Bad, Throw Up.

They are having it mastered and doing a limited run of CD's to sell and shop shortly. Also putting it up on ITunes very soon. I told them how much you liked it, and they were psyched.
