No kidding. I was only pasting the updated list I made previously to avoid this situation in the future.

ROUND 2

drinky - Trans AM - Rough Justice : Love this drummer. Love this band. Love this album. 9/10

billy - Terry Caller - Ordinary Joe : Early 70s soul. In genre I like this genre in small doses. After all a while it all sounds same-samey. Having said that, this is pretty good. 6/10

rparis - She Swings, She Sways - Highway : Never heard of 'em. Sounds like they might have a few gems up their sleeve. call me a prude, but i just can't into graphic songs about sex. kinda weird subject matter for bands that sounds so alterna-lite. 5/10

shiv - AA Bondy - When The Devil's Loose : I'll call this my AA Bondy Time Saver. 5/10

timmy - Radio 4 - Save Your City : One of the few songs by this band that I like. Another solid pull. 7/10

f4df - Eek-A-Mouse - Wa Do Dem : This is some oddball, neat reggae. But maybe it's an intro track? only 1:20. Seems like it had potential, but I can't justify more than a 5/10

two guns - Raekwon/Lyfe Jennings - Catalina haha. sorry dude. i get annoyed by rap songs that start with dudes just wasting time on the mic while the beat gets started. also, the chorus is corny. 4/10

actually a pretty solid round with no completely terrible songs. two guns is out, though.

rabbit (don't know what happened...) and all late comers, I think i'm going to do a 30-yard dash next.

ROUND 3

drinky - Electronic Music Composer - Everything New Is Old : interesting song title choice. this breakcore/glitch stuff has already reached it's limits i'd say, though this is better than most. it's hard to push the boundaries without it sounding like a huge mess. 5/10

billy - Serge Gainbourg - La Poupee Qui Fait : sheesh get off this guy's cock already. i was going to give this a 3, but he says "poopy" a lot, so i'll give it a 4/10

shiv - Final Fantasy - He Poos Clouds : Hmm, two poop songs in a row. A bit of a non-song, i'm going to go with a standard kinda junk song with fecal bonus score of 4/10

rparis - Big Star - O My Soul : Not their best, but still pretty solid. 7/10

timmy - U2 - Numb : Was this a hit song? I don't listen to U2 but this sounds familiar. This isn't bad. It's not great either. 5/10

f4df - Cheap Trick - Southern Girls : Yeah, i like Cheap Trick. Well, the 70s stuff at least. 6/10

i should just cut both billy and shiv but i'll be nice with a billy vs. shiv tie breaker:

billy - Super Eagles - Su Nous Harit : billy is just not patriotic. i like this. rips the la bamba riff/chord progression a bit but it's pleasant. Wouldn't mind an album of this at all. 6/10

shiv - The Killers - A Dustland Fairytale : C'mon shiv, why are you still listening to these guys? This is about as good as U2. 5/10

shiv is out. round 4 sometime in the late afternoon, perhaps.

Man, a coworker gave me that Electronic Music Composer CD (he bought it by mistake and didn't want it), and I listened to it once, I think. Surprised I hung in there with that one.

I'm not invested in this particular battle at all, but 6/10 for "Southern Girls"? Get off the crack, boy.

Oh, and put me in whatever the next one is. I feel I need a case of CHH.

ROUND 4

Drinky - Man or Astro-Man? - Tomorrow Plus X : Great schtick. solid sci-surf. This one's fairly par for the course though. 5/10

billy - Jacob Miller - Healing of the Nation : Sounds like standard reggae, which unfortunately doesn't bode well. maybe i'm holding the formula of the genre against it, but it seems like it's taking forever for this 3:50 song to be over. i like the backing vocals though. 4/10

rparis - Peter Case - I've Been Looking For You : an American singer-songwriter. yep, sure sounds like it. 5/10

timmy - Toad The Wet Sprocket - Hold Her Down : TTWS has 5 awesome songs in their catalog. This isn't one of them. I'd rate this passable and some may say even that's too kind, but i was in high school in the 90s so f you. 5/10

f4df - Art Pepper Quintet - A Bit Of Basie : Yay, some saxy big band jazz homage stuff. 6+ minutes long but this is still the most enjoyable thing i've heard this round. 6/10

billy is out. seemed like it was only a matter of time...

THE FINAL FOUR

drinky - Mount Eerie - What? : remember when the microphones were hyped on Pfork? Yeah, i didn't like them then either. Phil's got an alright artistic vision I guess. you know you're going the subtle route when you fade in to a lo-fi pop song. 4/10

rparis - Nick Lowe - Has She Got A Friend? two question songs in a row! going the traditional country route here i guess. i much prefer his punk/new wave stuff. still has a pretty good voice. 6/10

timmy - modest mouse - florida : i like modest mouse. there last couple of releases haven't matched the classic stuff IMO but i still dig it. 6/10

f4df - Art Pepper Quintet - How Can You Lose : AQTS - 5/10

drinky made it this far but somebody's gotta go home.

ROUND 6

rparis - The Ravonettes - That Great Love Sound : Pretty solid pull while nearing the end of the tourney. In a just world, this would be a hit song. Oh wait, I think it was...8/10

timmy - Garbage - Stupid Girl : Off of the only Garbage release worth owning. sooo 90s but soo good. not even the best song on the album but still pretty good. 7/10

f4df - The Black Keys - 240 Years Before Your Time : Whoa, this is kinda cool. Electric blues with science sound clips? Sweet. I thought f4 was a goner but this neat shit will keep him alive. 7/10

TIE BREAKER

f4df - of Montreal - For Our Elegant Caste : Good band, poor pull. Anything but this. The direction this band took is as disappointing as hell. 3/10

timmy - Snow Patrol - Run (live) : this is live? sounds like a studio. but it sounds pleasant. I should probably look into these guys. 5/10

f4df hung on for a bit, but it's timmy and rparis in the finals

I've noticed that half of the songs that I listen to don't have the play button next to them to preview. Does this mean it won't be an option in my radio station? Where does Last FM get their media to stream? They need to increase their library as they don't seem to have "The Cult - Firewoman".

Yeah it does seem surprising that I would have gotten to round 4 with two serge gainsbourg songs.

I think its sad I made it that far considering the songs that were listed. But I grow sadder considering what warranted making it to the finals.

CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND

timmy - The Von Bondies - No Regrets : I was going to say this is average modern alt/garage rock. but this so isn't too shabby. slightly above average vocals and hooks will net you a 6/10.

rparis - Benji Hughes - Where Do Old Lovers Go : Looking at the pictures that lastfm provides leads me to believe this guy is a teenage sasquatch. a pretty neat song, i like most of the ideas put forth, but the chorus just about ruins it. his voice sounds great when it crawls, but bad when he tries to croon. also the drum machine in general could be a bit better or replaced entirely. it kind of pains me to score this low, i kinda want to give it E for effort points. but i won't. 5/10

Timmy is the current 2010 Lastfm Rumble Champion!!! Will anyone dare to take his crown?!?!!?

I'll start up something new a while later.
