I've never been able to figure out how DeLay survives his myriad of scandals. Though, I will be watching with glee on the day when he finally goes down.

Ever heard of 60-40 district? Dude controls SO MUCH MONEY, and has SO MUCH POWER that a primary would be futile and a Dem has zero chance.

I agree it will be great when he goes down.

Oh, no chance he will ever be voted out. He will go out loudly, in a very nasty Ethics Investigation (when the House gets around to reinstating an Ethics Commitee), or quietly, ala Newt----at some point the leaders of his party are going to ask him to go away.

That's the only way, but he CRUSHED the ethics committee, he got ol buddy from Colorado thrown off, and then holmes retired. He is The Hammer, and he makes Newt look like an S-grade backbencher from the Hinterlands.

Newt had the ideas, its dudes like Delay that have THE POWER *cues up Power Monger at top volume*

Agreed, but the silent Powermongers (read: the Moneybags Mothafuckas who lay out there like so many gorillas in the mist) can make him go away real fast. Its amazing how fast your power dries up when you can no longer raise money for other members of your party. See you in Attica, dick.
