oh i thought this was gonna be about that t-rex discovery in montana. 'cause that...is something.

so did lou and mascis patch up or something? is j. mascis not one of the biggest jerks in indie rock history?

Sweet! I'm all over this. They're supposedly playing a show near Hollywood on the 16th as well I think. It's scheduled as a J Masics + the Fog show with special guests.

From everything I've read, Lou pretty much kicked himself out of the band since he wanted to focus on Sebadoh. J's no jerk, he just doesn't say much.

I'm pleased Mascis is reanimating the corpse, but the news of intact dinosaur blood vessels being found is also cool. Dino DNA may be forthcoming.

From Lou's perspective. Other accounts I've read say that Lou stopped talking to everyone in the band so they let him go. In the end I think it was a power struggle between J and Lou. Both wanted their own bands and J was becoming more the creative force with Dinosaur Jr. so Lou went elsewhere.
