Any opinions on these two cities? I'm going to end up living in one or the other for one year starting in July or August...I may have a choice between them, I may not. If I do get to choose, which would you recommend? New Haven is about 90 minutes closer to home, which makes it easier to come back and visit, but Providence seems like it might be a little cooler from what I've read. Neither of them really looks like paradise, from what I can tell.

i'd choose providence easily over new haven. if you had to choose somewhere in CT, i'd pick hartford.
but providence has a great music scene, it's close to boston and not too far from nyc, red sox aaa team plays nearby (if you're into that).

Would have expected a bit more braggadocious post from Danny Don't Rapp, what with him going to an Ivy for graduate school.

Providence is great, new haven is a dump. How is this a choice?

Whichever one is not in Connecticut. I fucking hate that state.

Which makes Joe Liebermann being your favourite kind of Democrat all the funnier.

That's an irony I never even considered.
