yeah I was initially scared with the way that they introduced her that her character would ruin the show, but she's grow to be pretty great. and yes, smoking hot.

I can't remember being this excited week after week by a show in a long time. I cannot friggin wait til sunday night.

The last three weeks have had me going batshit. Cannot WAIT to see what goes on with Eric, Godric and the rest of the Vamps when they storm the church. Fuckin hell.

And good to see Jason get his bastard side back. The pastor is creepy if you ask me, and his wife's face bugs the crap out of me. Glad to see Daphne go. LOVE love love Sam. Now digging Eric. Maryann is creeping me out but absolutely fascinated by what she is and what she's doing to the town. And why?

Jessica and Hoyt are cute to watch. Love the little romance between them.

Can't wait til the vamp queen arrives...

not sure if it's going in any direction of the books - but it's likely because she wants a sacrifice. in the books, her name wasn't maryann, but she attacked sookie as a "message" to eric and basically wanted a sacrifice/tribute from him because he is a "supernatural being" that owned a bar. in the show, she's after sam probably for the same reason and also due to the fact he got away once and she cannot control him. though, i believe the reason she's after sam is part of the season finale (saw somewhere in an interview with alan ball when he was talking in comparison with the books) so i'm curious to see what this is all about. michelle forbes is amazing!

i'm really digging seeing the backstory on the vampires (i.e.: eric/godric and bill/lorena).... p.s. eric is 1000 yrs old and godric is 2000.

I've been told I should watch this show........but,I'm not sure I'd be into it. You're almost convincing me I should give it a chance though. Somehow "embarrassed, dumb shit, and gutter" are doing it for me.

Oh it's a real dumb soap that lost a step between year one and two, but if you have to spend your tine watching tv in the summer, sure. There are titties involved.

I don't discriminate on my tv watching...summertime or not. I just removed it from my netflix queue a little while ago actually, I think I'll wait for it to go on instant and start from season 1.

My lady and her daughter are watching this right now- I never even heard of it before. 10 minutes or so in and I'm thinking Alan Ball seriously should have stayed with Six Feet Under. This acting is a shitload worse than Dark Shadows ever came close to. And, unlike Dark Shadows, I can't see this shit being entertaining even on a good hash and doojie cocktail.

Enjoyed the premiere last night, except for Tara. Enough with her, already.

I think that I read that Tara was killed off in like the first book. I alter between liking her and hating her....definitely hated her in the season premiere.

Agreed. I cringe everytime she talks about "Eggs". Worst character name ever.

I need to start using "hooker" more in my vernacular.

Of course you do. That was such a gratuitous scene.

Lotta man butt in that ep in hindsight.

Equal opportunity T&A show I guess.

Last night was embarrassingly bad. I mean when Tara was at Eggs funeral (hey Alan Ball, we don't care about this storyline!!!) and asked "who paid for all 'dis" and Sookie walked out from behind a tree and said "I did"... Painfully contrived.

Next week has got to improve.

Agreed. I don't expect high art here but the whole rival kingdoms, etc is a bit lame as well. Maybe I'm just suffering from pop culture fatigue with vampires, werewolves, etc.

Sadly, I don't think it was as bad as Entourage. I think I may hate all of the characters on that now.

I'm semi intrigued by the monger vampires with their chilled carbonated blood and blood gazpacho meals.

Tara is annoying, but whatever. I hope Sam has to snuff out his entire "family" before this is over.

The best part of this whole season so far has been the flashback scene to Erik and Godrick as Nazis.

I think they shoulda kept Godrick around longer - he was tight. "I am older than your Jesus."
