I've decided to go back to buying music like I did when I was in college, which basically means I'll buy one cd a week. I found when I did it this way I saved money and I actually listened to each one more. I've been wanting to buy all of these cds for a while but just haven't got around to it, which ever one gets the most votes I'll buy.

no one else will vote for Co. Flow, so I won't waste a vote...Blueprint is a classic.

Blueprint is the only one I'd even listen too.

Depends on your mood, but Blueprint or Dirty South.

All are pretty good, but In the Aeroplane Over the Sea is one of my favorite albums ever so I'm gonna have to go with that.

Yeah good group. Coflow didn't age as well as I'd hoped, or maybe I just don't listen to things loud enough anymore. None of the jay-z albums have held together either, you can make do with the "singles". If you don't have any other Elliott, that's not a bad one. But I'd probably lean with nmh.

Normally I would just go out and buy whatever I was feeling, but I'm planning on buying all of these over the next couple of weeks, one per week, so I thought it would be interesting to see which ones people would vote for and why.

Gotta go with the Dirty South.

NMH is one of my favorites as well, but the last time I put it on I was a little annoyed by it so I'm going DBT.

I'm the lone Co. Flow vote, but honestly, none of these get me very excited. I actually agree that it hasn't aged that well, but it's still a pretty good album.

I don't actually own the Elliot Smith and DBT's ones though so they may be better than I realize.

That Ghostface is boring. I am not a Jay-Z fan, but The Blueprint probably has his best singles. That NMH is hugely overrated, but I suppose I really dug it the first four or five times I listened to it.

"Izzo" might be the only Jay-Z song I like, so...

And I think I get Fishscale mixed up with Supreme Clientele so maybe it isn't boring. I don't know. I know most people think it's great and all just like most people love the shit out of Jay-Z so whatever.

NMH

Although the Elliott Smith and DBT albums are also really good.
The others, I am sad to say, I am not familiar enough with to give an opinion on.

But Aeroplane is one of my all-time favorite albums. Period.

It was between the DBTs and Elliott Smith for me. I might have gone with the DBTs but went with ES just because it seems to have a greater chance of winning and for me this is all about saving you from making the mistake of buying NMH.

DBT's. It and NMH are the only one's I know on that list, and while I don't think NMH is a bad album, necessarily, I've never understood the awe in which it's held by some. At places throughout it, the SQ combined with dude's voice make me want to pour boiling bacon grease in my ears for relief from the pain.

I think that NMH is a gamble, to be sure, considering how much some folks here seem to hate the album.

I say that it's worth it to check out the NMH — if only for the mere possibility that you find it as transfomational and transcendental as so many of us do.

If you agree with BG, then just sell it away and put the cash back toward your next purchase.

Hate is a strong world. NMH are too blah to really inspire Hate. I'd discribe my feelings more as ambivalence and boredom. There is actually one really good song on that album. The rest is MEH to the MEH power though.

I think Leon intends to buy all of these though so we are at most influencing the purchase order here. Maybe he'll become a card carrying member of the obner NHM fanclub. I just don't get it though. Its more of a puzzle in many ways for me than Animal Collective or Joanna Newsom. I really dislike both of those but I can at least see how they evoke strong reaction positively or negatively...

Yeah I do intend to buy all of these soon. I'll order whichever has the most votes tomorrow night. I've heard some of the Aeroplane over the sea and some of their other stuff. I like what I've heard, but I could see how it would be easy not too.
