From the newspaper O Globo, a split screen of Sao Paolo Traffic before the start of the Brazil - N. Korea game and after the start of the game:

I won't be surpised if they win it all, but I won't believe it will be due to anything that man currently brings to the table.
No disrespect to Diego, but he's infamous for intentionally cheating in a World Cup quarter final, being a cokehead, being expelled from a World Cup for being a doper and a broke ass tax evader who is lucky his home country awarded him this job. It will only take one bonehead/egotistical move by Maradona to neutralize all the talent the Argentines have in an important match.

Did you ever see Maradona play? He was a brilliant player.

Arriba Mexico.

He's also known for giving one of the best individual world cup performances by anyone ever in 1986. In the same game he had the handball he also dribbled through the entire England defense and scored single-handedly. In many ways, that game represents the mystery and legend and the angel and devil that is Maradona. Yeah, he's a little crazy, but he's a fucking rock star.

And while the Argies are loaded, the fact he went his own way and has made more than a few decisions both in terms of personnel and in terms of tactics that he will be deserving some credit if they win it...and blame if they lose, of course. Either way, he has certainly put his stamp on this team.

I'm not convinced at all that Maradona is a good coach. They came terribly close to not qualifying which would have been a crime given how much talent they have. I'm not sure what point Promethium is trying to make though. None of that seems to be particularly relevant to whether he's a good coach or not.

Poldi missing two from the run of play and now a penalty. Guess that's why his club career is in the crapper.

Well that was coming, Slovenia have looked up for this from the first whistle.

Great strike.

Fucking disaster.

Good to see that refs in World Cup soccer can be as massively incompetent as other sports.

Here's your parting gift America, thanks for playing, sorry it didn't pan out for you.
:wanker:

There's no excuse for giving up two goals like that, but the yellow card on Findley for a hand ball to his face was completely bush league.
I knew we needed to be worried when I saw the officiating crew was being led by someone from the world renowned football power of Mali.

The two most maligned players on the U.S. team -- one, the Golden Boy, failed three times in Germany; the other, the Coach's Boy, a success in Germany -- score the scores to level it.

Hah.

For Fuck sake, Epic comeback win completely jobbed by a poor ref.
God damn FIFA is about as competent as the Big 12 in hiring refs.
