"BRANDON FLOWERS has branded THE BRAVERY as imitators of his band THE KILLERS.

Talking to MTV, the singer claimed that bands like The Bravery have only been signed on the back of The Killers’ success, and questioned the New Yorkers’ musical motivation."

-NME

Ha. what a crock. What about the bands YOUR band is riding the coattails of, Mr. Flowers (if that IS your real name)?

if the local high school battle of the bands promised this Kaiju-esque level of drama then i'd go for reasons other than scoping next year's crop of skanks.

No Doubt. And I like The Killers. I think The Bravery are just a little more blatant about it though.

I like 'em too. I just think it's petty and a dangerous game in this day and age to start being a loudmouth and pointing fingers about who's cashing in on whose success....

This was quite a problem for Hanna-Barbara in the 70's vis-a-vis the Speed Buggy sorts trying to live up to the Scooby-Doo's and whatnot.

Well I'm a sucker for a catchy tune and if the Bravery has anything like the first 3 songs on Hot Fuss I'd like to hear their record.

there are 2 catchy tracks on the bravery album. the rest sound like ex-marilyn manson fan boys writing songs with awkward keyboard parts that will go straight to the top of the MTV charts!

Personally, I don't think either band are that phenomenal. However, if I were to pick a fight between The Killers vs The Bravery, I'd pick the Vegas crew.

"Questioning" isn't really denoucing.

It would have been so much better if they had come out and shouted in a deep voice "WE DENOUCE THE BRAVERY AND ALL THEY STAND FOR".

There should more proper denoucement in the world and less of this questioning crap, that's for damn sure.

This reminds me of the rumors that would float around middle school that described an impromptu meeting between Motley Crue and Warrant, wherein the latter suffered an ass-whippin.

Both bands are fun to listen to when drunk. And both bands are just pretty. And aren't they both on the same label?

Possibly the most inane story in music for 2005. Psst- you both truly suck.

It's like Shaun Cassidy scoffing at Rick Springfield.

I can see The Strokes play or Franz Ferdinand play and it's real, and I haven't gotten that from The Bravery. I think people will see through them."

I wonder if he's seen his own band play?

Radcliffe- I'll go out on a limb and say that Rick Springfield is better than either band, just on Jesse's Girl alone.

there's copying going on everywhere, with various degrees of blatancy. as long as they sound good, i can forgive 'em. this applies to the killers (for me). i have yet to hear the bravery's album.
