Todd, your homework assignment is to listen to Sign 'o' The Times as soon as possible.

I own it. And yes, I understood the reference. It's maybe my 4th or 5th favorite Prince record.

So, should your homework assignment be to listen to The 'Mats Let It Be?

4th or 5th? Really? Well, to each his own. It's my favorite, save for maybe The Black Album.

I do need to spin Let It Be again sometime soon. Too much good music, too little time.

Let's see, my top 10:
1. Purple Rain (kinda a no-brainer)
2. Lovesexy (a controversial choice, but every song on there is ace, except maybe one)
3. Dirty Mind
4. The Love Symbol (underrated)
5. The Black Album
6. Sign o' the Times
7. Chaos and Disorder (also underrated, and Prince's best guitar album)
8. 1999
9. Controversy (maybe I'm just not familiar enough with it)
10. The Gold Experience

I'm probably forgetting something great, but this is pretty much the top-of-my-head rankings of his records.

Okay.

1. The Black Album
2. Sign 'O' The Times
3. Purple Rain
4. Parade
5. Dirty Mind
6. 1999
7. Controversy
8. Batman
9. Lovesexy
10. Around the World In a Day

There's a couple on your list I haven't heard, though, and I haven't listened to Batman or Lovesexy in ages.
