What provider do you want to use?

I've recently been using Mort Player instead of the native music player. This one is folder based, instead of id3 tag. It takes a minute to read the directory, but overall has been pretty solid. It works with Simple Last.FM scrobbler and it also has a seperate widget for download for easier use. The % of my mp3 files which has the cover art show up has gone from about 10% in the native app to 90%.

You mean like the iPhone finally getting cut/paste last year was? Or MMS?

And somehow you think this is all easier than just itunes.

A couple weeks ago, I discovered this great site for Android apps:

It is pretty much just like the market, but is easier to navigate on the big screen. They have an app you install on your phone which syncs your installed apps and the ones you want to install. If you ever switch devices, just put on this app, and sync will pull up your list of apps that you previously downloaded.

does anyone have the mytouch slide? i don't need something super spec'd out (plus, tmobile never has top-notch hardware), but i do want something trusty that won't break.

my verizon "new every 2" isn't up til October so unless there's something better then, and I'm betting there will be, this is what I'll go with.

i read Nokia has a phone coming out with a 12 megapixel camera.

A guy at work here has the My Touch Slide. The keyboards on the Cliq and G1 are better, but the screen on the Slide is super nice and responsive.

If you can live without the keyboard (Swype is pretty awesome if you don't have a physical keyboard) and you can wait a little bit, this Samsung Vibrant looks pretty bad-ass.)

I just bought a mytouch slide last weekend and am loving it - I will agree with Timmy though, while the physical keyboard is nice at times, Swype is sometimes faster.....So there is part of me that wishes I'd held out for the Samsung Galaxy S. Oh yeah, that's one small drawback to the MTS - the screen resolution is pretty low and is NOT OLED - but they did these items with the intention of making the device faster and easier to use than the G1 and the original Mytouch.

galaxy S and nexus one are rad phones. i can't wait to see the Droid X in person too. android is def on its way.
