He's opening for John Hiatt (should be the other way around).
I've got lawn seats for the show at Ravinia up in Highland Park and I'm going with my cousin, who's coming in from out of town. Definitely looking forward to hearing Levon. (I won't really be able to see him, though.)
Anyone else see him recently? How does he sound?

PT, I've heard nothing but good reports about his live show which friends saw at Bonnaroo last year and 2x at the Ryman (where he's done his "ramble"). His voice is thin and gravely, but he can sing.

Technically it's co-headline billing with Levon playing first.

Truckers played at his thing in NY recently. Would love to hear some sessions.

I'd be all over that show. And ragging on Hiatt tells me that you hate your mother, Landon Donovan, and blow jobs.

Not ragging on Hiatt; he's okay. Just think that Levon is The Man.

And... wife is going to see Sonny Landreth on Thurs. Didn't he play in Hiatt's band for a while?

I have tickets to see him in August. Steve Earle and Jenny Lewis are the openers.

That doesn't help you though. I thought he sounded really good on the last album. I was surprised to see him touring as I thought his health wasn't good. He apparently was disobeying doctor's orders even playing on that Elvis Costello show.
