I was surprised they didn't try and capitalize on a Captain America film after 9/11. It probably would've done wonders. I think a new Cap film could do really well and obviously the old one wouldn't have much bearing on it as was seen with the success of the Punisher.

The lizard is Dr. Curt Connor. He only has one arm. He lives in the Florida everglades with his wife and son, Billy. He discovered that lizards have regenerative powers, i.e. if you cut off a limb, it will slowly regrow it. Using this concept, he experimented on himself in an attempt to get his arm back. Of course, it went horribly wrong and he turned into a giant Lizard-type creature with strong strength, an even stronger tail, and a tendency to draw out his the letter s when he talks.

Since Thomas Haden Church has been named as the main villain in the film, and Curt Connor was already seen in Spider-Man 2 in human form, played by someone who wasn't T.H. Church, it's likely he won't be it.
Damn, you know your stuff. I really dont want to see the lizzard in the next spidey. Give my Venom. The Vulture could be intereting. I hope KRAVEN or Scorpion never enters the picture.

I wonder if they're going to release another version of the Spider Man 2 dvd? I've put off buying it because I keep thinking there's going to be another one with an assload of extras.

That's the main reason I don't own any of these films on dvd.

Spider-Man 1 had, what, 3, 4, different dvd releases?

The two X-Men films have had 3 or 4 among themselves.

I figure I'll wait until X3 and S3 are released on dvd and they're put into a box set.

I think the Vulture would be kind of boring. Who wants to see some old scrawny guy flying around?

I think it would be awesome if they had Venom for the 3rd one and then for number 4 bring on The Sinister Six. I really wouldn't mind if they skipped over a few of their origins. I'd also go with the original six of Doc Ock, Vulture, Sandman, Kraven, Electro & Mysterio.

I got the X-Men 1.5 and I haven't checked if there's been another version of X-Men 2 that I have.

as far as waiting on those dvd sequels. i waited for all 3 Matrix movies so i could get the set. but then it backfired because theres no way i'm paying 60-70 bucks for that huge box set they created. i loved the Matrix but not that much.

What happened to Black Panther?

The first movie on a Marvel character I ever heard about was Silver Surfer. That's going back about 25 years. Still no movie. Complicated because you sorta have to go in to the whole Galactus thing.

It's been confirmed that Thomas Haden Church will be playing the main foe in Spider-Man 3... Sandman.

What a weight off my back.

Sandman, huh? Hmmm... I was guessing Hobgoblin at the end of 1.

Venom needs to be done, though.

I'm sure they will do it some day, without Toby Mguire.

I saw him in an interview regarding the future of spiderman (after the 2nd had been released). Toby and Sam Rami are signed on for one more and for him to be in another spidey, the script would have to be the best script he had ever read.
I read an interview with Sam Rami. He sounds as if he wants to make more, but who knows.

Imagine my suprise when I just got back from the comic shop and stumbled upon this geek ass thread....

Yeah, I think Sandman will be a great villan for the new flick...

Currently in the Ultimate Spiderman universe..The Story line is the Hobgoblin... They just brought back Harry Osborne into the mix(which is interesting) and he is starting to stumble upon his dad's old stuff...They are only up to 3/5 so I can't wait for the conclusion of the storyline...

judging by the cover leads, it looks like some sort of vastly inferior version of Giant Robot.

i was going to say something about your Mummy movies, but at this point it's hopeless.

hey that just might be the greatest movie trailer of all time. I mean, "Who the fuck is zorro?" alone is priceless. The Something Weird trailer disc just might be the coolest disc ever that wasn't focused primarily on 70's drivers' ed film footage.

and it's stay-puft.

even though thc wasn't in #2 as the astronaut bf/fiancee, that char had limited screen time (as did the lizard prof), so i don't think that'll be a determining factor. buuuut, doesn't thc look a liiiitle like astronaut jameson boy?

Simpsons, music, movie are all near the high end of the dorkus chain, because all that other shits is just SAD.
