This is one spontaneous purchase I'm glad I made. Recommendations and avoidances?

A double album seems daunting but on it goes

Lotta filler here. The Blueprint 3 is pretty hott. I actually payed for it.

And of course, the singles are amazing.

I'm gonna hit usenet later on for Reasonable Doubt and that third Blueprint record. I'm fairly ignorant of hip-hop as a genre and just never bothered to check out any of his proper LPs, even after enjoying a few of his singles. Thought I'd see what the fuss, if any, was about. I get it.

Mindblowingly good live at Bonnaroo. He had 80,000 white people in the palm of his hand.

if i recall Blueprint2 is one of his weaker albums. I'd check out the Black Album, Reasonable Doubt, Vol 2, Vol 3 and Dynasty all before I wen to Blueprint2.

I was in a record store and Blueprint 1 & 2 were bundled together for $20. I figured I'd roll the dice. Actually, I'm more excited to check out his other records if it's considered one of his weaker albums because I didn't think it was that bad for a double.

It's about time, Dumpjack.

I'm liking this new trend of hip-hop talk on the main board.

(Though I do love me some Jay Z and fully endorse DJ's effort in this dept.)

2004? Is he wearing a Lance Armstrong "Live Strong" band? Maybe just released from the local hospital?

it has more good songs than i remember, it's probably better than i give it credit for. When it came out I was in need of a Jay Z break and it was bad timing for me to take in a double album.
