Any sport, any level, but you can only name ONE.

That's right, Manu Ginobili. You got a problem with that?

Despite NEVER being an Illinois fan, I caved in this year. Not only because of the team's dominance, but because Dee Brown just seems like a great kid.

i dunno, Steve Nash? Lamar Odom? I kinda gave up on having favorite athletes after perennially getting pissed off at them.

"Let that be a lesson, sweetie. Never love anything."
"Even you, dad?"
"Especially me"

Brian Dawkins.
plays with crazy passion, hits really hard, great on the field and off the field leader.

i was just wondering about that.

Dawkins is a great call. if I cared more about football i'd probably have to pick him.

just watching the guy play makes me happy. his passing makes me believe again like Field of Dreams and shit. and the fact that he works hard to improve and doesn't as yet have any truly retarded quotes. games are fun to watch when he's playing AND there's always the possibility that he'll pull off something unheard of. why is it an odd choice for me?

not really sure. I guess I was expecting someone like Ben Wallace... or Vernon Maxwell. Well, not Maxwell, but you get the idea. Somebody either totally dedicated to their team/work ethic or somebody that is totally insane for all the funniest reasons.

good point, but all the nutjobs like Qyntel Woods and Ruben Patterson always let me down. there really aren't guys like mad max any more. although Paul Shirley is getting to be #2 on my list.

HAHA! It should come as no surprise to you that I heckled him mercilessly when they came to play last year when he was batting below .200. Of course he proceeded to rob Javy Lopez of a home run at the wall but we won the game.

My pick is easy:

Is he grabbing his crotch in that picture?

If Fred McGriff counts as "active," it's him. He's been my favorite for years. If not him, definitely Brett Favre.

If Qyntel Woods were fighting midgets or babies in his basement instead of dogs he'd gain an assload of stock with me.

wait, does Rowdy roddy Piper cound as "current", "professional" or "athlete"? or George "The Animal" Steele?

thinking of which, isn't it long fucking overdue for the Iron Sheik to make a comeback? That motherfucker could grow a beard and be the evillest dude on the block.

i'm surprised that Tarrantino hasn't tried to travoltaize his career by sneaking him into a movie by now.

Well, now that he's split up Inglorious Bastards into two parts like Kill Bill, i'm sure he'll need some filler.
