I disagree...I think Robben's was worse than most. Especially when he writhes around after phantom tackles.

Admittedly, I was in and out during the match and could have missed some of the more dramatic ones.

Fuck Brazil. Netherlands all the way to the Cup. Or The Golden Vuvuzela. Or whatever they get.

I'm still not impressed by the Dutch. The Dutch goalie made a great save on a well placed shot by Kaka but other than that, I didn't think they played particularly well. Brasil just choked. Felipe Melo was terrible. Not only did he put Brasil in a position where they were a man down while trying to come back from behind, but he is the one who headed the ball into his own goal and blocked out Cesar on Netherland's first goal. Terrible play by Juan to give the Dutch the corner that resulted in their 2nd goal. The play happened so fast that it looked like Brasil still had a bunch of guys up on offense when the Dutch took the corner. Otherwise, I find it inexplicable how 5'7" Sneijder would ever find himself in the position to put that goal in on a deflected header against much taller Brasilian defenders.

The Brasilians looked sloppy, careless and disorganized once they feel behind. If the Dutch had any finishing ability, it could have turned into a route. The Dutch can't score against a good defense though except on set plays which makes some of the stupid penalties look even worse.

I have to think that Dunga is gone as coach. Even when they won, Brasilians were only so happy with his more physical, defensive style of play. Losing while playing that way is unacceptable to most. In addition, he made some terribly questionable personnel decisions. The team was built to defend leads not to make any late comebacks. It would have surely helped to have Pato to bring off the bench for a spark. I can't say Brasil deserved to win this one but the result still just really bugs me. I'll be rooting for Uruguay to knock the Dutch out in the next round.

Dunga is definitely gone. I think I'll miss his wardrobe the most.

Possibly the most dramatic ending I have ever seen...and penalty kicks still to go.

Also...was fun to watch the Dutch send the Brazilians home earlier. I still think the two teams who have looked best meet tomorrow morning with Germany and Argentina.

I agree with Billy too. I mean, when you have to try a comeback and you've left Ronaldinho's tricks and Pato's pace and finishing at home, hard not to blame the coach.

And yeah, the Dutch should have had about four. Late on they had 2-3 gimmies.

And oddly enough, I'm giving man of the match to the guy from Uruguay who got ejected using his hand on the line.

Someone put Asamoah Gyan on suicide watch, he was inconsolable after the match. Shame it happened to him cos I've been impressed by his performances over the tournament.

Abreu's penalty was cheeky, just as well the keeper went early or he'd had an ostrich sized egg on his face.

As I said on facebook, why couldn't Gyan choke like that against us?

So far, so good
Germany scored with ease three minutes into the game.
After all his postering leading up to the match and trash talking in regards to the violent end of their 2006 World Cup match, it would be funny to see Diego take one on the chin and be humbled by defeat.
