The wife and I decided that this is where we will be planting roots for good. Unless we're forced to move for unforeseen circumstances. We are pretty excited about it.

Ha. I wish. 4 bedroom in the rebuilding Lakeview neighborhood, which is the smallest house possible for the triplets and the biggest possible under our budget.

good luck in the new locale. i moved home to toronto in june after 9 years in beloved/forsaken montreal. took off to nicaragua for a while, and am settling back in now, feeling happy about the move. i'm sure the best is there for you too.

my sis used to live on west end in lakeview. her house was flooded and smashed by a tree during katrina. i like that neighborhood, and hope the 'canes stay away for a while.

I'm about 2 blocks off of west end on Louisville.

For real though. One of FemDerris' friends has been working to open a wine bar for over a year now near the corner of Oak St. and S. Carrollton. I think it's going to be called simply "Oak" or maybe "Oak Wine Bar" but don't quote me on that. Regardless, that weekend, another one of her friends (all from the same group) is preggers and having her baby shower so we're gonna kill 2 birds with one stone. Celebrate the babgy and the bar opening.

Just sayin. I'll be around.
