On a local note, the primaries are tomorrow in Georgia and the level of crazy in the TV ads is pretty entertaining.

I'm actually a little disappointed in Georgia primary season this year. No one is running a "This is America We Speak English, nor is anyone having to go up with a "Glen Libbons" esque ad proclaiming they deem every word of the Bible to be absolutely true, and written by God himself.

(I don't count Dale Peterson or Rick Barber's campaign films as ads, or I'd bring them up, too)

Every (R) candidate for Sec. of State and Governor is vowing to sue the government over Obamacare (one that's on a lot even has like the one picture of Barry looking mildly angry but they've got it black and white and grainy so he looks like Eldridge Cleaver) and pass an Arizona-esque Immigration law.

Roy Barnes is the only center-right contender in the field and he's the Dem.

Down this way, Marco Rubio should have his balls tossed into Biscayne Bay. With him still attached. And both the gubernatorial candidates are hard-core buffoons.

Yeah, that guy. Just watched his "Rachel Maddow" ad. I can't believe people buy this shit.

It's a Republican primary. They are always pretty awesome. Like I said, in Bama we had a guy who had to run an ad reiterating that he believed in the literal truth of The Bible.

I still think Crist can thread the needle down there. His fundraising remains pretty strong, and even though he got in trouble with Dem 'Pubs for trying to be all things to all people, as an Indy he can do that.

I hope Barnes romps, the Repubs kill each other in the runoff and he squeaks back under The Golden Dome.

I think Crist will probably pull it off, Barnes not so much.

I'd prefer Handel if I had to have a member of Team Banana Answerer just simply because we've never had a woman win a major statewide office and I feel like Georgia needs that for some reason.

Barnes needs to quit his apology tour bullshit and pull a Ronnie Raygun "Are you better off now than you were 10 years ago" to win.

I'm just wondering if it's a net positive or negative for him to bring in Former President William Jefferson Clinton to campaign in the fall.

Considering FPOTUS WJC has endorsed Thurbgerk Bakbgerg, I dunno if it's an option, though Big Dog will do what he needs to do if it comes to it.

Bigger question is does Zig Zag Zell come out for Roy against Handel or Deal?

I don't think the Turgberk endorsement matters now that Roy has won.

Good point on Teh Zellg though...hell, I haven't even seen that guy in a minute.

Quite a fall for that slippery bastard John Oxendine, huh?

so ... i made the mistake of responding to one of my friends who is from so louisiana and made a comment about the oil drilling moratorium. my comment was that i think it's prudent to at least audit the deep rigs in the gulf to make sure we don't have another catastrophe in the making.... oh boy.

so, the responses evolved to, for example, "muslim kings....they want to take your money"; "obama will stop at nothing to destroy the oil industry and make america socialist"... etc, etc, etc.

can people really be so f*cking stupid?

Yeah, I think the unspoken thing a few years ago is that Zell is off his rocker. The Pubs didn't want anyone to know and the Dems didn't want to destroy his entire life, I suppose. Not sure he will re-emerge, but it would be huge if he did for ol King Roy.

The Ox got what he deserved. He was scum, and to scum he shall return.
