I just discovered this Canadian guy who interviews tons of musicians in a really in depth, weird way. Check these out. The interviewer gets annoying, but the way the musicians react is really interesting.

There are a bunch more here

I just stumbled across one of his other interviews...and to be honest he annoyed the heck out of me.

Nardwuar was totally fucking funny in the late 80s - I still remember having to pull my car over from laughing so hard during a phone interview with Kris Novaselic.

Way to keep your finger on the pulse of pop culture, dudes.

To be fair, I don't think he was ever well known outside of Canada, or Vancouver for that matter. I thought he was hilarious too. It's cool that he's still kicking around.

Mint records brought a Nardwuar pinata to a show last month. It would have worked out better, but hipsters aren't known for their upper body strength.

Weren't you around age 3 in the late 80s? Don't let grumpy Uncle Rads start you backpedaling. I've never heard of the dude either.

He still has monthly print interviews in Razorcake magazine.
This past issue, he interviewed Snoop Dogg.

I wasn't going to make a comment like Rads, but his clips were making the rounds on indie message boards a decade ago. I even think we may have discussed him on the old CMJ board at one time, but I could be wrong.

Didn't hit 3 until 1990. I knew he had been around for awhile because a lot of the interviews were old.

My reply would have just been that I thought Leon was relatively young. Regardless, Radcliffe honing in on a perceived perception of someone on the internet and beating it to death? Alert the media.

This is about what I was going to say, except for the calling Radcliffe a grumpy uncle part. I'll leave hurting his feelings up to discostu.

Cage match with everybody and make sure there are plenty of sharp objects to go around. And let's throw Nardwuar in there, too, for good measure. Let's just get this shit over with.

But holy shit, that Roky Erikson interview. Is he even capable of feeding himself?
