Pretty outrageous post on her part, but from a personal stand point I can say I like listening to the Kinks more than the Beatles. It is probably due mostly to the fact that they have not worn out on me as much as all things Beatles yonder upon that mountain.

and, I also have The Kink Kronikles, which is a pretty good collection, even though I already have most of the songs on there.


Well, you've got most of the golden era stuff. The obvious one you're missing is Arthur, which IMO has some of Ray's best songs. The stuff after Muswell Hillbillies is pretty spotty, with the exception of Misfits, but there are still great tunes sprinkled through those later albums. The Great Lost Kinks album is excellent too.

Kinks are my favourite band but the Beatles were better.

Give me a break. 40% of the Braves starting rotation, the Braves closer and your MVP candidate Troy Glaus were all signed as free agents. Braves are no more homegrown than the Yankees and if you remove the Yankees' big free agent signings, you still have a core developed through the farm system (Jeter, Riveria, Posada, Cano, Pettite, Hughes, Gardner, Joba, Robertson) and through trades (A-Rod, Granderson, Swisher, Vasquez) that is a much better team than what you'd have left on the Braves if you removed all their FA signings.
