I swear the only reason you post here anymore is to troll for hits on your blog.

I thought it was a pretty well understood term here. It has certainly been in the obner lexicon for long enough. If he didn't get what i was saying just from the PPDD remark, he ought to be able to understand what I meant when I said that whether you like Animal Collective or not is a greater predictor to whether you like Konono #1 than whether you like Congolese music in general. I think that's pretty well backed up by who on the board has positive things to say about them here.

If you want to see that as an insult, go ahead but its not intended that way.

Yeah Derris probably isn't capable of true animosity.

It's always there lurking under the surface.

Maybe that was a bit harsh but I just find many of his posts to be asinine and useless to the point where I wonder why he even bothered to log in and even post it. If you just search for posts from "contradiction" with no keywords it's pretty funny. Usually a few words or at most a sentence which I find annoying because I know he likes music and even likes to talk about it because he comes in here once a year dumps his magnum opus on us. He rarely offers any insight into his "thoughts" here and saves it for his blog.

Maybe I'm just in a mood.

They're called "spells".

I didn't take it as an insult, but it's always used as a negative. I wasn't insulted by it personally, but I was poking fun at it because I think it's a worthless, stupid term, accepted or not.

Anyway, you then proceeded to elaborate on your opinion with something that was actually meaningful so I think we all made out OK.
