From a CNN.com interview with Cera:

"It would have to be really special, I think, to be worth doing, because I think the show is a nice story that ended nicely, and I'm scared of the idea of disrupting that," Cera said. "It's nice to end on a high note and get out early. It's kind of an instinct, you know. Keep them wanting more."

So this thing is OFFICIALLY a go apparently. Kieth Olbermann talked about it last night, saying that he had spoken to David Cross and David confirmed that he had been contacted.

I found a blog with a red carpet interview with Jeffery Tambor who also confirms it's a go.

[i]Just a few hours ago, Universal Home Video held a pretty nice party at the club Element (in Hollywood) to showcase their upcoming “Hellboy 2: The Golden Armyâ€

I know some disagree but I think this is great news. Even if the movie sucks (which I doubt it will), it will still have been worth a shot. The formula obviously works so why not?

Just heard Ron Howard confirm the movie is a go.

I'm definitely excited.

Simpsons was good.

Also, most TV show movies don't have the original cast/writers which is part of the problem.

Word. Plus not having the show running at the same time should give them a lot more leeway.

Keeping in mind, though, that the whole series is bloody great and to really get a lot of the jokes you have to watch from the beginning.

Quote:
the new romantic comedy from Arrested Developments Jim Vallely, Mitch Hurwitz and Will Arnett. Starring Arnett (30 Rock) and Keri Russell (Waitress, Felicity), the comedy centers on a lovable, but immature playboy (Arnett) trying desperately to win (or buy) the heart of his childhood sweetheart (Russell), the über-liberal humanitarian who got away.

also, David Cross just joined the cast.

looks like it could be a funny movie, but the plot....can it be a sitcom? (I assume if it is on Fox, that it is a show and not a made for TV movie.)

In real life they're only 6 years apart. It's not that hard to buy that they're the same age in a movie. :)

Despite the generic, romantic-comedyish trailer above, I'm hopeful.

Also, I don't really like David Cross in anything but Arrested Development, but hopefully he will be a solid addition to the cast.
