Imagine my suprise when I just got back from the comic shop and stumbled upon this geek ass thread....

Yeah, I think Sandman will be a great villan for the new flick...

Currently in the Ultimate Spiderman universe..The Story line is the Hobgoblin... They just brought back Harry Osborne into the mix(which is interesting) and he is starting to stumble upon his dad's old stuff...They are only up to 3/5 so I can't wait for the conclusion of the storyline...

I know your avatar is Landau Calrissian, but it really looks alot like a black Burt Reynolds

There's a lot of dork crossover thanks to things like the Marvel Super Heroes role-playing game, which was essentially D&D using comic book characters (and a friggin' great character creation system).

I played D&D back in the day but must have already been out of the loop when that came out. So, you could play a Marvel character OR create your own and "roll for" what superhero characteristics he/she would have?

Both. It depends on the module/campaign. They had all the major heroes and villains translated into character stats, but they also allowed you ways to created your own. Pretty cool stuff. TSR released it in the mid-late 80s.

It's been reported that The Sandman and Hobgoblin will be the villains in the next Spidey.
