Loose and catchy garage punk. Just grabbed this and will be listening to it a lot this weekend. Good grimey shit with just the right amount of polish to make it shine.

i just downloaded this yesterday, listening to it now and i quite like the sound.

Cool. They deserve more attention than they get. That's at least their 3rd album. Look for their older stuff if you like that one. They used to post all their albums for free download on their own site. Don't know if they still do that.

i have mixed feelings, like most of his albums. some tracks are great, but some are just so corny sounding. i really dislike the Ayers cover

I haven't listened to it much but no I don't really like it. The covers are mostly terrible and the rest is slower and not as immediate as his samba soul stuff. I haven't spent much time with it though so I'm hoping it might grow on me. It seems like its gotten decent reviews so maybe some of my reaction is just that its not really what I was expecting.

I'm seeing him live tomorrow so that could help too.
