My faithful companion of 17.5 years, Spike, passed away earlier today. He was a constant friend through thick and thin and never failed to provide comfort. He was loved deeply and shall be missed greatly.

I've a feeling that my parents are quite happy to see him.

Rest in peace, ol' boy. Mama loved you very much.

I get to see this man in all his albino, keytar playing glory tonight for a mere $4 at the local Ribfest.

Sorry to hear about this. It's always hard when they go, even if they've lived a long, good life.

Do any of you guys have any recommendations for poster sites that aren't Allposters/eBay/Amazon? I need a few more to make my apartment walls less bare.

I use Etsy for silkscreens, prints and original art and have found more than I have room for, if you're not looking specifically for show / music posters...

What are you looking for? Like Stacy said, Etsy is a great resource for silkscreened goodness.

http://www.polishposter.com/ I'm always waffling on ordering from this place. Some of their posters are horrid, and over-priced, but you can find some gems.

Like this one: Image

Its $42, but if yr going to frame it, might as well spend some for something original.

Love these guys, I've bought a number over the years and they do things the right way.

I've picked up some things from here over the years and you can find shows from your area:

http://www.gigposters.com/

Pretty much great and most, if not all, are local artists or art collectives doing the local posters.

Man this PGA Championship finish is getting nuts.

Also, has to be the drunkest crowd for a major this year.

If they're going to call that a bunker that's a joke. I've never seen a gallery allowed to stand in a bunker. They can't make this call.

Utter horseshit call that is going to taint a great day.

The PGA deserves a media drubbing for that.

This is what I was going to post. Endless concert posters from contemporary designers. You can search by band, city, designer, etc

These are pretty incredible if you're into darker imagery: http://www.thesilentgiants.bigcartel.com/

Here's a good poster blog: http://omgposters.com/

On one had I totally agree with you, it was bullshit what happened to him, he said himself he didn't realize he was in a bunker, he thought it was dirt. On the other hand the PGA's explanation actually made total sense. They made it known to players that every single bunker on the course, whether or not it was in an area where the crowd may have trampled was to be played as a bunker and all the rules that govern normal bunkers were in play for each an every bunker.

I've played the course before and I was there on Saturday, the PGA should have done something about the fans going inside of bunkers but it would have been very hard to regulate that kind of thing, I mean, shit I saw a little girl playing in one of the bunkers making sand castles. Everywhere you walk there is a bunker...and you may not even realize you're in one, it was unfortunate Johnson hit it where he did.

It's too bad that this all happened because the finish to that tournament was awesome. Kaymer deserved to win, but Johnson deserved to be in the playoff.

Also: does anybody think it was weird Jim Nantz -- who loves nothing more than the sound of his own, soothing voice -- didn't say a damn thing after the 18th hole of regulation play? I mean, I know his lugubrious encomium for Dustin Johnson & perseverance was ruined by the two-stroke penalty, & with that, Nantz's chance at a Sports Emmy, or, at least, an ESPY, but isn't Nantz usually one to be a stickler for the rules? (Save for, of course, when their use would imperil either a Duke basketball championship or Nantz's ability to step out on his wife with impunity.) Why did he apparently have such an hard-on for the Dustin Johnson redemption story that he could not allow Kaymer & Watson to have a moment?

Christ, the man did not even make a perfunctory appearance on the 18th green during the trophy ceremony. &, yes, normally, I would love a Nantz-free post-event show, but in this case, it just looks beyond his usual childish pose.

Granted I wasn't really watching until late in the day Sunday but just seeing clips and whatnot all weekend, I could have sworn that PGA was being played on the Pacific Ocean somewhere with all the cliffs and whatnot. Big Sur is apparently located in Wisconsin. Who knew?

That was a great ending though and I'm glad I decided to flip the tube on to catch it.
