Marathon right now. There does not seem to be a breakout star or ringer at this point, but I'm catching up on the season, and am only on Episode 2.

Also, I love Eric Ripert as them new judge, and refer to him as "Ze Corm" because of the way he described a dish on the show a few years back. He's not really an asshole like Toby was, but he knows his shit cold, and will totally call someone out.

I know we've got some fans here....

Love Eric Ripert as well.

Nobody on this season would have made the Top 5 last season, and nowhere was that more evident than in the challenge where they had to deconstruct a classic dish. So fucking brutal.

We were rooting for Arnold Mynt until he was kicked off. Now I could care less who wins.

This season's chefs fucking blow...

I have no idea how that young ex-coke/pill/semen fiend is still around
Angelo...needs a pairing knife to the jugular

the rest of them, who gives a fuck? they're boring.

I love Eric Ripert, but he would have been better suited to last season.

Sadly, Angelo's asian influenced stuff seems to be the only thing from any of 'em that raises to Top Çhef-worthy status. He's just not very well rounded and, like you said, kind of a douche.

At least Alex the Fail's luck finally ran out and he got the boot. That guy is a disaster.

I guess I'm pulling for Kevin or Kelly at this point. Neither would come close in other years but they at least seem like decent people.

Also, anyone else think Colicchio is an arrogant asshole? Or is that just me?

It should be Angelo's to win, now that Kenny is gone. Tiffany has had a nice run the past few weeks, but I don't see her winning. Maybe Kelly or Ed to round out the top 3. Def a weak season.

I think he's playing an asshole during the judging scenes because he always seems really cool when he comes by for a visit mid-challenge.

I'm hoping Angelo flops in the finale (which has hpnd. the last couple seasons to Blaze and Kevin) and maybe an Ed can pull it off.

I'm also hoping that Kevin loses his mind and stuffs somebody in an oven before he's out.

I'm pulling for Tiffany. She cooks the most to my sensibilities. Ripert is terrible. I mean he's good if you enjoy watching people struggle with their command of the english language and make faces like they just tasted semen.

he might sound arrogant, but he's right most of the time. He doesn't want to hear stupid excuses, I can't blame him.

Angelo is an arrogant asshole...but he's also a complete douche and i hope he chokes. Fuck him and his "sexy" flavors.

Noticed while thumbing through the new Williams Sonoma catalog that both of the douche-tastic (but let's face it, really talented) Voltaggio Brothers are now endorsing products in there.

Also, congrats on winning the Emmy.

This shit is way up in the air. I wouldn't be surprised if anyone loses tonight or if any of them win the entire thing. If that gay dude was still around, I wouldn't be surprised if he emerged as the favorite by this point. Everyone's just been doing uninteresting shit for the most part. After last season, this season's a disappointment.

on a side note: a friend of mine got a job doing pastries at Stephanie Izzard's new gastropub. I'll check it out once I have money.

Nashville reprezent

Femdisco was upset Tiffany got the boot last night, but we're probably left with the 4 best chefs. Though none of them could match-up to last-season's crew.

I'll be happy to put this turd of a season behind...once the feuds were gone (Kenny, Alex) it got boring.

I went to Blais's Flip Burger the other day, not bad...

FemBloor as well.

Tiffany was at least the equal of the others and was on a nice roll, but she no doubt deserved to go last night.

Enjoyed Bourdain referring to Eric Ripert as "The Ripper"

Yeah, it's weird that people win an entire season (and $125k) based on one four-course meal.
