War can bring out the best in people and also the worst in people. I observed two minutes silence for the fallen of the former catagory rather than the latter.

I agree with all the sentiments. Based on some of the comments, however, people are just considering Iraq war vets.

We've got brave deceased vets from the Revolutionary War, Civil War, WWI who deserve to be honored.

Plenty of vets from WWII, Korea, Vietnam are still alive.

Show a little extra patience today for that old man in the car in front of you who is driving you nuts.

Actually, the deceased have Memorial Day as their own holiday. Don't try to steal those living veterans' holiday!

As the son of a vet of 2 wars, and grandson of two vets of three wars, I gotta say it is good that people still realize what these guys have sacrificed for us.
