The criticism of their looks in this thread is like old white men in the 60's and 70's complaining about "these dirty young hippies with long hair... can't tell is he's a girl or a boy."

Must be rock and roll.

Yeah.

But then at least half the musicians most of us like are fairly ridiculous looking.

As are at least half of us.

Someone should start a poll pitting J.T. Walsh vs. J.K. Simmons.

"Who or what has seen more dicks pulled out and then piss on them from above? The urinals at Grand Central Station or Carlos D? I think it would be a close run thing."

I'm rather embarrassed to say I once wrote that deplorably snotty and dismissive opening line for one of my Interpol album reviews.

It's quite strange even reading something like that now because it's hard to recognize that I could write something as offensive and potentially hurtful to a fellow human being. There must have been something very wrong with me to lash out like that but thankfully many sessions of therapy and the love of a good woman have eradicated that sort of spitefulness which was eating me away inside.

I can say with all sincerity that I'm glad I don't have that sort of venom in me anymore; today I'm now middle aged, a little podgy around the middle, contented and happy with life so good luck to those young folks with their music career even though just thinking about them makes me want to reenact the end of Casino only with these twats being smashed into the dirt of a cane field and then their pulped and bloody bodies rolled into a mass grave as my associates shovel freshly dug soil into their still breathing mouths.

you'd be wrong if it weren't true.

my experience with the band...3 out of 4 (counting carlos d) of them are douchebags.

This alone makes me miss the old dustups when we were wasting our lives in chatzy.
