Looks like there is a chance I will be headed to this. My friend's band is playing and I also would like to see Unwed Sailor, Barnaby Bright, and PHANTOGRAM.

Anyone of you people near there? Anyone going?

I live there, but wasn't planning on going, but could be persuaded to come out if you don't want to go alone.

Recommended local bands:

Wussy
Jake Speed and the Freddies
The Sundresses

I wouldn't mind seeing Surfer Blood or Ted Leo.

Well, I'd likely be there with my friend, his band, and my friend's wife so I won't be alone. That said, I am definitely checking out the three bands I mentioned. Apparently you can skip the 3-day band and pay cover charges at the door for any particular band that you want to see.

I am not 100% I can afford the trip yet, though, so we'll see.

Yea, I have been before and you can usually pay a few dollars at each venue. Prices vary depending on the venue and bands.

On Saturday night, go see Jason & The Scorchers at Southgate House, which is a block from a HofbrÀuhaus where you can get blitzed and listen to polka.
