Ok, it's only the Canadian edition, but that's pretty impressive. They've done a indepth story on them and a few other indie bands.

They must be stopped.

Not sure what this says exactly. Does it say that Canadian Time is embracing a largely independent band that is having success in the states or does it say that the suits are jumping on the golden calf?

A friend of mine has a bet with someone that Arcade Fire will be on the cover of Rolling Stone within a year. Maybe this will get him partial payment because I think he's lost his 20 for sure.

Your friend's totally gonna win; I'd say within 4 months.

Hey, it's a mainstream article that doesn't talk about indie rock in 1940's anthropologist-staring-at-a-curious-bug-and-trying-to-explain-it-to-Lutherans terminology. Cool.

Don't you think it would've happened already. The album was released last september and that tour where they were selling everything out was at the end of last year. What do they have coming up, a few festival performances?? I just don't think their media profile is gonna grow any more than it was around Dec/Jan.

So I'm saying I'm the one that should've bet him.

I'd say the decline of The Vines is due more to other factors (ie - teh suckitude) than to the cover of Time.

I'd say the decline of The Vines is due more to other factors (ie - teh suckitude) than to the cover of Time.

And also to the fact that the singer gets too drunk on stage and can't even perform.

'Ey, that doesn't keep Modest Mouse from the stage.

Or Shane MacGowan, whose breath would get me drunk at 10 yards.

Maybe if he weren't so Bulimic, he wouldn't get wasted so fast...

And if Robert Pollard can do it (without bathroom breaks, no less), then that's no excuse...
