1.Pavement- Gold Soundz
They were big too early for me but I would ve liked this 15 years ago. Still kinda do. Love the lyrics even though it's not catchy. I know enough to know Pavement are good without having an immediate effect on me.

2.Arcade Fire- Ready to Start
I hear they're good but this song doesn't do anything for me. Lyrics are bland.

3.Deerhunter- Revival
Nice song, good tempo, like the vocals and the melodies. but i've already forgotten about it.

4.Les Savy Five- Lets Get Out of Here
Boring, lyrics are dull and the guitars sound ten years ago.

5.Best Coast- Boyfriend
The lyrics are tongue in cheek and go well with the indie surfer sound. Nostalgic.

6.Superchunk- Digging for Something
Sounds like Weird Al but more boring.

7.Magic Kids- Super Ball
Too silly for me, lyrics are kitsch

8.Fang Island- Life Coach
Some good ideas, I like the harmonies, dynamic song structure

9.Ra Ra Riot- Boy
I like this one. retro and simple

10.Of Montreal- Coquet Coquette
Annoying, overhyped, probably evryone's album of the year

11.The Black Ryder- All That We See
Overproduced Mazzy Star. Amongst My Swans is more challenging and rewarding.

12.Peter Wolf Crier- Hard As Nails
Requires repeat listens.Very good. Want to hear more.

13.The Clientele- Jerry
Like the bass lines. Nostalgic. Forgettable.

14. The Books- Beautiful People
Big fan. love the geek lyrics.

15.Neon Indian- 6669 (I don't know if you know)
Not new. I like them, It's time for better production.

16.PVT- Window
Really good! Different. Strong song structure.

17.Fol Chens- The Holograms
Fun. For fans of The Fiery Furnaces. Probably last time i'll hear them.

18.Yeasayer- Madder Red
Not the progression I was hoping for. Melodies are laughable. The chorus is awesome though.

19.!!!- AM FM
Forgettable. Lost all their attitude.

20. Clinic- I'm Aware
Walking With Thee was a shot of adrenaline. This puts me to sleep.

21.Candy Claws- Sunbeam Show
Boring, quiet. For fans of Air.

22.Cotton Jones- Glorylight and Christie
Draws me in. Rewarding. Ultimately forgettable though.

23.S. Carey- In the Dirt
Sigur Ros lite.

24.First Aid Kit- Ghost Town
Haunting. Pretty. Would like to hear more. Good lyrics.
"And I remember how you told me all that you wanted to do.
The dream of Paris in the morning or a New York window view.
I can see it, now you're married and your wife is with a child.
And you're all laughing in the garden and I'm lost somewhere in your mind."

Final Verdict:
-First Aid Kit is my favorite new band on the playlist.
-Not as good as the last one (introduced me to Tame Impala and The Drums).
-Neon Indian wins for what I would actually listen to but I already do... so no win.

This made me laugh for some reason. "Fun, but I'll never listen to them again".

I don't have anything to add - just wanted to get in on the bad quote action.

I had the impression that the new of montreal is rather underhyped. I bought tickets for their show today.

I read about them in Time and then again in Entertainment Weekly.

and they were all like yay? I'd say, they deserve it. it's an odd kind of pop music, that's an effort.

I remember liking that S. Carey track a decent amount. Drummer from Bon Iver, I believe.
