I concur, it fucking blew me away when I was listening to it earlier this morning.
They are really coming into their own and becoming a truly amazing band. Their studio albums are starting to reach the potential that their live show currently possesses.
I really hope they come back to Lincoln in 2011 to promote this album.

Another fan of the new Deerhunter. Desire Lines achieved a rare, immediate 5 star rating in my iTunes library.

I've never liked Deerhunter. Is it more accessible than their previous work?

No shit. Bradford writes simple melodies with some guitar effects and "ambient textures" to make it sound like 2010.

seriously guys, what do you like in that deerhunter album? this is just boring music. every single song is predictable after a couple of seconds, I haven't heard one good compositional idea. it's nothing more than trite.

Quote:
Amsterdam's THE ANOMALYS have finally recorded their debut LP, and what better label to present this smokin' full length than your ultimate source for sickness, Slovenly Recordings? Guitars smolder with crushing, echo-frenzied grunts and wails, and the dumb-drums get pummeled into submission. Lead by a rasp-throated screamer, these cheese-fed behemoths display utter rage for two sides of 100% drag-strip approved garage-punk grease with nods to the snarling and surly side of ferocious punk legends. This LP is a perfect pill to amp you up for a night of going out and fucking yourself up.

Love that Anomalys when in the mood for some trashy garage rock.

Not really much of a Neil Young fan, but this one has me curious.

Methinks Bort is confusing them with Deerhoof.

Glasser and Neil Young links dead already. Anyone have one that works? Psyched to hear both of these.
