Anyone have them? What do you take?

My kids have them.
They take Benadryl.
But, we don't have to deal with them much, because we don't have a dog.

I have cat allergies sometimes, and I take zyrtec. It helps me. Whether its a placebo effect or not, I have no idea.

& speaking of the PopTodd household'd allergies, each time I go to Five Guys I think, those fuckers must loath the Leiter-Weintraubs. Fry the potatoes in peanut oil, have nuts in the shell available for snacking before meal...

I had them really bad when we got our first dog a few years ago, but they went away after several months.

When I felt like I needed it, I took generic Claritin.

Cats are worse for me. Dogs get me if I pet them and then inadvertently touch my face. Claritin D works good for me. I can only take a half pill at a time 'cause it jacks me all up. Also, if it gets real bad and I get wheezy like asthmatic, I take a pink Benadryl, literally chew it up in my mouth and gargle it down with some water for immediate effect.

I used to have terrible pet allergies. Of course, this never stopped my parents from having a cat and at least 3 dogs when I was a kid. Eventually I grew out of them. So I guess my solution was growing up.

yeah, Claritin, Zyrtec or Benadryl are the top OTC allergy meds. Try them out.

excellent for pet allergies

FYI, Dale none of that OTC shit works AT ALL for me, aside from Benadryl, in which case taking 4 of them and going directly to sleep seems to work.

My experience with Claritin was that it didn't really work until after I'd been taking it for a few days. It's not an immediate relief thing like Benadryl, more of an extended dosage thing.

I take Zyrtec, which helps with the two dogs and general allergies.
