Whoa. What's with all the Cutler hate?

As I see it, there are only eight quarterbacks I would take over JC* to start:

Brady
Brees
Flacco
P. Manning
Rodgers
Matty Ice
Schaub
V. Young

& maybe Vick, though technically, not even the starter in Philly (even if starting today).

*Yes, I am comparing number 6 to Jesus.

What about Rivers? I'd also add Eli, Hasselback, McNabb and maybe even Neckbeard. At least they won't lose you a game.

If you guys seriously think 2/3rds of that QB list are better than Cutler, then you're fuckin' retarded.

Granted, when you throw 4 picks you will lose. But, on the other hand the Bengals weren't very good either. You guys couldn't even score a TD. Not to mention the two BS calls on Suggs and Ray Lewis on tackles on Palmer. Those two calls put up 6 points for ya'll.

Better than at what? Throwing a football through a tire? Probably not. Leading an NFL team to the playoffs? They are all abso-fucking-lutely better.

Also, big thanks to the Arizona Cardinals for not showing up today and A. Helping me not have two winless weekends in a row. and B. Giving me that glimmer of hope that the Falcs are ok.

trent dilfer's team went pretty deep in the playoffs, so that makes him a better qb too then. rex grossman i guess led the bears to the super bowl, not that shitty defense of theirs, youre right.

but yeah cutler made some awful decisions last year, trying to force it, blah blah blah. after two games, save for a terrible decision last week he's looking a bit more mature and pretty solid. but there are so many other variables that go into this, how good/bad is the oline, are your receivers retarded, etc. bastard just needs to get to the playoffs

no no, so youre saying, based on your logic, rex grossman is a better quarterback than jay cutler due to the fact he has gone to the playoffs. i'm right, right? he even went to the super bowl!.

look, i'm not saying that i'd take cutler over 5-7 other qb's in the league, but i'd say at this point he's in the top third. last year? no way. but the season is two weeks old and jc may have a 5int-er lined up some week.

Seriously, Bloor? Vince Young, Kyle Orton, Joe Flacco, Matt Ryan, Aaron Rodgers, Matt Schaub, Phillip Rivers, Michael Vick, Hasselbeck, McNabb are all guys listed considered "better" than Cutler. Most of them haven't won shit. A few have had deep runs in the play-offs, but not in a very long time. And NONE of them have won a Super Bowl. If that's your only argument against Cutler, it's not very strong.

There's 2-3 QBs I'd consider elite in this league, and after that there's a whole big pack of guys you could just reach in and grab and proclaim "very good." Why Cutler doesn't get the same kind of respect as guys like Rivers or Rodgers is beyond me.
