Is there a person less qualified for her job than Jenna Bush? Her stilted-too-obviously-speaking-like-she-thinks-a-TV correspondent-should delivery is one step below the way Bart spoke when he was doing public interest stories on The Simpsons. It's embarrassing.

Yeah, she's just awful. I cringe every time she comes on.

why do you feel like a rude asshole, popscar? the only thing you've done wrong is taking a job in the same dept as your wife.

Poorly worded post. Sorry. I do not work even at the same company as my wife. Edited.

Things like that are exactly the reason I keep my door closed at work and am glad most people are scared to knock on it. I can't think of anything more horrendous than a wedding with a bunch of work acquaintances. Weddings of people I actually like are bad enough. But, I'd prefer you not get hit by a bus is not a closeness I feel requires me to show up at someone's wedding.

things like that are the exact reason i'm not having a wedding (assuming i ever marry). well, okay, that and many other reasons...

anyway, there's no reason for you to feel like a rude asshole whether you go or don't. unless you bullied her into the invitation.

Click here to see: Race & Ethnicity maps of major American cities

Everyone knows their cities have areas of town where certain race and ethnicities tend to live, but to see it in this photo-graph is a eye-opening way to look at it.

To match his map, Red is White, Blue is Black, Green is Asian, Orange is Hispanic, Gray is Other, and each dot is 25 people

Yeah, I've been looking at those, too.

Atlanta's not exactly surprising considering that it was almost built around segregation. Although there are some increasingly integrated areas, one of which I happen to live in.

c'mon, i've got the ring, baby.
of course two weeks after we marry i'll treat you like crap and break up with you.
but then we'll get back together and i'll treat you like crap and break up with you.
to infinity and beyond.

then of course, i will miss you forever.

Poorly worded sentence. I'm okay with the idea of marriage, being the longterm single female I am, but if I ever do marry, there will be no ceremony, so Laura, it's still on, but we don't have to get rice thrown at us. You know I'm a sucker for people who pass me up and then wish they never had.

Weddings are fun if you're the one getting married, though. It's a party that's all about you where all of your best friends show up, even the ones who live really far away.

You shouldn't feel rude. She's the one that should feel like rude either way. If she didn't invite you, you're the only one not invited. If she did invite you, its a late invite making you feel like an afterthought.

I'd say go if you want but use the late invite as an excuse to blow it off if you don't want to go. Lie and say you already have plans. Make up your mind either way quickly though or the "already have plans" will seem like the lie that it is.

Thing that sucks for you is you have to buy a gift now either way.

She's an animal lover.
I think that I'll send her a dead cat.

I stand corrected. Maybe Todd can even offer to chauffeur the couple after the wedding to save them the cost of a limo and drop them off instead at an abandoned train station.

I have no desire to be the center of attention like that. Actually, everything involved in having a wedding sounds terrible to me. I won't count out changing my mind if I meet someone I like enough to marry, but I don't see a change of heart about a ceremony and reception happening.
